I’m Chief Jeff Baker and I’d like to say thank you for checking out my blog page. Auburn Hills is a beautiful area with a robust business community and I am very much looking forward to working with the committed and professional staff in Auburn Hills, and to continue to provide superior police services to the citizens and visitors.
Chief Baker’s career began in 1992, as a part-time police officer in Richmond, New Haven and Chesterfield, Michigan. In 1993, he joined the Port Huron Police Department. Starting as a Patrol Officer, he moved up the ranks as a Community Services Officer, Warrant Officer, Road Sergeant, Detective Sergeant, Patrol Lieutenant, Administrative Lieutenant, Police Captain, and ultimately as Chief of Police.
Throughout the course of his career, Chief Baker gained valuable knowledge and experience in many aspects of law enforcement education and training. In addition, Chief Baker is the past President of the Police Accreditation Coalition (PAC) for the State of Michigan’s state accreditation commission.
Chief Baker is a graduate of Northwestern University’s School of Police Staff and Command. In addition to attending numerous educational and training programs, Chief Baker holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Leadership and a Master’s Degree in Human Resources from Central Michigan University.
