Big Storm Tomorrow – Again

We pay close attention to weather conditions.  When the weather services notify us that a storm is on its way we work with our DPW to make sure that roads are cleared as soon as possible so that you can get where you need to be.  Because we have two large, multi lane, heavily traveled freeways through our community we also work closely with officials from the Road Commission for Oakland County and the Michigan Department of Transportation.  The MDOT just released a video that explains their decisions to salt (or not) the roads during storms.  I thought it was very informative and decided to share it with you.

And, don’t forget not to park on the local streets tomorrow so your community can get the streets cleared as efficiently as possible.   Stay home if you can, don’t drive during the peak of the storm if you can avoid it.  We’ll be here if you need us.
