Experts say that checking a text message will take your attention away from the road for about five seconds.  Well, that’s enough time to travel the length of a football field.  Yikes!

We all have to admit that we look at our phones, every once in a while, when driving to see who’s contacting us.  It’s human nature to want to stay connected at all times.  I know I’ve been guilty of doing it.  There is no doubt that this distracting habit can be very dangerous, especially for less experienced drivers.
